It's Sunday evening now, our last evening here in Croatia. Tomorrow morning we're heading to Zadar by taxi and taking plane to Frankfurt, where we're staying over night. More DUFF beer!
Starting with Friday, which was Gamersject day. We woke up around seven and headed to Bacvice beach where the event was held. We we're supposed to check-in at 8:30am, but they only said that come back when our game would start at 10am. So we headed to the beach.
When we came back to the event site there were doors closed so we waited few minutes there and some guy added note on the door which said that the event is delayed two hours. So we decided to get something to eat.
We came back at 12am and no-one knew when the event would start or why it wasn't started yet. We waited until we got information that they're installing games now and the games would be starting soon. We decided to go have few beers.
We got to setup our gear on our computers around 5pm. After we got all connected we found out that there were no steam installed on our computers. The steam files should have been on network so we could have downloaded them there. But our network wasn't working. Everyone had problems with steams and networks so they said that everyone out so they could get stuff working. Back to the bar.
After few or more beers we came back and the problem was still on. We were asked to change places where should've been steam installed and network working. That wasn't the case. So we changed our places third time (there were only CS:S tournament left because CoD2 tournament were canceled for the day, so there were many free computers). We finally got places where steam was installed and working, so we headed to the server. After few minutes power went down and whole place went dark.
We got power back on and headed back to the servers. Then there were network problems on switches. Some computers worked fine and some didn't. Our computers were lagging like hell and disconnecting all the time from the network. We we're asked to go out so they could fix the problems.
At night, somewhere around 11pm we we're still having same problems, so we waited. After 12pm team leaders were asked to gather around so they could inform about the situation. It was bad. They couldn't promise that the servers would be working and we could play the games tonight, so the teams decided that we won't wait two or more hours that we MAYBE could play the games on ten computers by single elimination. So the event was canceled.
Saturday and Sunday
We've been on the beaches on both days and just chilling around. On Saturday we decided that we will go to the beach club on Bacvice beach, where we had drinks on the event day (after we came out from the cave on Friday night we saw that there were just awesome party going on). So we (me, olli, rasmus) had to buy new shoes. At night we headed to the club and, yes, the party was just awesome. There we're just good looking girls around on the dance floor, and the heat was (literally) on :D. Here is the nights best song, that was just WILD!
Today we headed to the alleys at the old city and here are some photos:
Tomorrow Germany and day after tomorrow Finland.
